Elephants are such amazing and unique creatures, with strong family ties, excellent memory and intelligence, infrasonic and seismic communication, apparent self-awareness and are beautiful to look at. I wanted to draw an African Elephant, from my birth country, and to find an interesting angle to draw, including the notable trunk, tusk and ear, necessitating the sacrifice of a prominent detailed eye for the size scale required.
