The stunning ocean blue eyes of this Caracal (an African wild cat) and its unnerving open-mouthed snarl (or yawn?) really appealed to me. The cropped view excludes their characteristic 4.5cm tufts on the ears, which point upwards from the tips, and droop with age. I enjoyed creating the curled tongue, plaque-filled incisors and beautiful reddish-tan coat.
